The story of Noah Oliven begins in south-eastern Anatolia, in the city of Gaziantep. I grew up in this culinary stronghold of Turkey. In this city, eating was not just about consuming food, but an act of enjoyment, an act of love. In addition to my love of good food, my love for nature also developed here. My grandparents were pistachio farmers, so I spent my summer holidays in the countryside during harvest time - next to, on and under the pistachio trees. There were also olive trees here, but they played a minor role at the time.
I spent the first 10 years of my life in this region until we emigrated to Switzerland in 1988. Here, too, I found opportunities to work in the countryside during the school summer holidays. Harvesting apples, driving tractors and planting potatoes. This time would later prove to be very useful. Connection to nature, craftsmanship, order, discipline and punctuality. Switzerland was a treasure of valuable experiences.
After more than 30 years, however, the call of my homeland, and especially its olive trees, grew louder every day. So I emigrated to Turkey with my wife and children. I became a farmer and started producing olive oil. This time, the olive trees took centre stage.
I am convinced that the human body and mind form an inseparable unit. Only a healthy body can house a healthy mind, and only a healthy mind can keep a body healthy in the long term. High-quality fats and oils such as olive oil, as part of our staple diet, can contribute significantly to this symbiosis. That is why I see deep meaning in what I do and why we produce high-quality olive oil for a new world with a healthy consciousness.
